What is a good marketing program for myspace to promote a band? Mainly for...

...getting adds and updating for shows I don't want to spam people, I think I am begining to accept that it is worth the money to have someone else do it and I am willing to pay for a good program, $300 limit for budget. I know a little about computers and programming but I am not profecient. I just want something that will make my job easier and actually try to add people in my area and not in like China. Texas is preferable. I have found a few sites but I am skeptical of their claims and know from friends, that some of these programs are scams. So if anyone knows any good ones they can vouche for or any tips on programs that can help on promoting with a reasonable budget, please tell me.
