Can anyone tell me how to add music, and backround to myspace?

I am embarrassed to admit that my niece has a better myspace then I do. she has music, so when you're in her profile you can listen to her song, and her backround has pictures, besides her photo album. I'm new at myspace, and havn't been very good at navigating it yet, so I am asking one of you how to get a cool backround and music I like to hear...yada yada yada....thanks for your answers, I'm a techno-tard...sorry

I was daunted w/ it at first but it's actually really simple.To get music you click on the music link on the myspace toolbar, upper left. When you get to that page ther will be a search bar on the left. Type in a band you like and it will pull it up, similar to a web search. When you click on the bands profile they will have a music box on the upper left of their profile. Pick a song and then click "add to my profile". It will confirm it and then will automatically add to your profile, repeat this if you want to change your song.Now, the picture on your nieces profile is called a layout. you'll need to do a web search for "myspace layouts" and it will bring up a ton of them, my favorite is myspaceoryous.net. Browse profiles until you find one you like. usually it will say "get this code" click on that and it will give you a code. you need to copy it and then paste it in your "about me" section. Finally to upload pictures, there is a link on your myspace homepage that says "add/edit photos" and you just click on that and then browse your desktop for photos you want to use, it's pretty straightforward. when your done uploading your pics, there will be a link to create a slideshow. It's similar to the music in that you don't have to copy and paste anything it will automatically put it on your profile for you. I hope this wasn't too confusing...good luck and have fun!!
