Hi, I advise that if you don't have money to waste and you're using it for the above listed uses then I would get all the parts from an internet site - motherboard, graphic card, good duo processor, case, RAM HDD, screen(s) etc. (probably not ebay since parts may arrive broke when dealing with electronic stuff like this) then build it like you mentioned (reading manuals and forums on the net etc.) and it should cost you around £400 for a really good spec. PC if you only need the tower building, and obviously less if you need less spec. (you'll also have to choose between XP or Vista - if you go Vista I advise 32bit (x84 NOT x64) Home Premium.Also when your picking your parts on the net you'll need to check out in the specs if they're compattible with each other.Hope this helps.Mrghostie.
