get gimp2 pictures on to myspace?

okay so i desighned some pictures on gimp2 and i whent to upload them to photobucket.com but it said invaild and this other stuff then i tried to upload the pictures i did on gimp2 to myspace but when i went to upload they dont show up were they were saved (and i know were i saved them they just didnt show up)so bascially all i can do is view them on the gimp 2 program even though i saved them to my computer .. so i need help how do i get gimp 2 images you desighned on gimp2 on to myspace or photobucket.com?thank you =]

You probably don't have the file saved in the proper format for these sites. Chances are you didn't specify the file type when you saved your GIMP image and as a result your file image was saved in GIMP's native format. When you click on Save As you can either type in the extension you need or look for something called File Type by Extension and click on the arrow next to it. You will then see a list of all the file formats GIMP can support and save your image as. Chances are you can save your image as a .jpeg or .gif without any problems. Those two file types are the most common.I hope this helps!
