Sorry but i think its personally wrong it does show that your insecure and you don't trust him and trust is one of the main components you need in a relationship and if you don't trust him why are you with him ?. You need to ask yourself these type of questions

no its not wrong unless if you know that he is cheating on or if someone said something about it.But in some cases its wrong. Like if your doing it because you just dont trust him then its bad.If you know that he is a good person and he wouldnt do anything like that then you have nothing to worry about
